Rajoana's sister files nomination from Patiala

Kamaldeep Kaur, the sister of Balwant Singh Rajoana who is on death row in the assassination case of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, today filed her nomination papers from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat as an Independent.
After filing her papers, Kamaldeep said she is optimistic that she will get the support of Sant Samaj of Sikh Panth as her brother has written an open letter to all Sikhs as well as Sant Samaj to extend their support to her.
From Patiala, three-time Congress MP Preneet Kaur is seeking re-election and SAD and AAP have fielded Deepinder Singh Dhillon and Dharmvir Gandhi, respectively.
