Alka is wife of Congress leader Uday Mudliar, who was killed in naxal attack in Darbha valley under Bastar region May this year.

The ruling party candidate Santosh Bafna has defeated Congress' Shamu Kashyap by a margin of 16,658 votes in naxal-hit Jagdalpur constituency.
Whereas, Congress' Baghel Lakheshwar has won naxal-hit Bastar constituency.
Lakheshwar, who defeated BJP's Subhaoo Kashyap, has got 57,942 votes.
Kashyap could get 38,774 votes.
