The distillery has been exporting wines to countries such as Germany, Italy, Holland, England and the Netherlands and "now American and African countries have urged us to enhance the supplies of Rampur made liquor," Radico Khaitan Director K P Singh told PTI.
"Rampur Distillery stands at first position in the country as far as liquor production and the quantum of its exports is concerned," he added.
In 2013, annual liquor production in the distillery extracted from molasses stood at 1.50 crore litres, 3 crore litres from grains such as rice, millet and jwar and 10 lakh litres from another course grain barley, Singh said.
He further said that the material left behind after production of alcohol is recycled which generates gas and electricity and after attaining two sources of power its remaining material is used to produce 5,000 bags of fertiliser everyday.
