Rashmi Shukla becomes second woman Police Commissioner of Pune

Senior IPS officer Rashmi Shukla today took charge as the new Police Commissioner of Pune, becoming the second woman to hold this top post in this city.
Shukla, a 1988-batch IPS officer from Maharashtra cadre, was previously posted as Commissioner at State Intelligence Department.
IPS officer Meeran Borwankar was the first woman police chief of Pune.
Shukla succeeds K K Pathak, who attained superannuation today.
