RattanIndia Power commissions 270 MW unit 5 at Amravati

RattanIndia Power, the erstwhile Indiabulls Power, today said it has commissioned the fifth 270 mw unit of the 1,350 MW Phase-I of its thermal plant at Amravati in Maharashtra.
"RattanIndia Power Ltd...Has successfully commissioned the 5th unit of its 1350 MW (5X270MW) Phase-I Thermal Power Plant at Amravati, Maharashtra and has commenced commercial operation," the company said in a filing to BSE.
This marks the completion of Phase-1 of entire Amravati Thermal Power Plant. The first phase involves five units of 270 MW each.

Gavin Struthers named Intel Security Asia Pacific President * Intel Security today said it has appointed Gavin Struthers as President of its Asia Pacific operations, replacing Andrew Littleproud.
Formerly Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channel Operations at Intel Security, Struthers will now be responsible for business operation across Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand, it said in a statement.
He has worked with security software firm McAfee, now part of Intel Security, for over 12 years across several roles including the global channels role, Vice President of Channels, Alliances and Specialist Sales (APAC), Regional Director (ANZ) and Enterprise Sales Director for ANZ.
