Considering the significant increase in banking network during the recent past and the large jurisdiction being covered by present office of the Banking Ombudsman in the national capital, Reserve Bank has set up the second office of the Banking Ombudsman at RBI, New Delhi, it said in a release.
The first office of the Banking Ombudsman at RBI, New Delhi, will have the jurisdiction over Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir. The second office will have jurisdiction over Haryana (except Panchkula, Yamuna Nagar and Ambala Districts) and Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar districts of Uttar Pradesh.
