Real patriotism is to take country towards development: Satish

Exhorting people ahead of the Independence Day, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay here today said that real patriotism and nationality would be take the country towards constant development.
The senior BJP leader was speaking at the inauguration of a two-day 'Jashna-e-Azadi' mela at the Ajmal Khan Park in Karol Bagh area here.
"Lakhs of freedom fighters laid down their lives for the Independence of our country. Our independence is due to them. What they had dreamt has become a reality.
"And, therefore, the real patriotism and nationality would be to take the country towards constant development, he said in a statement.

The mela is part of the celebrations planned by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation for the Independence Day.
On the occasion number of cultural events including patriotic skits, folk songs and dances were also performed.
A skit to educate public on management of solid waste was also performed.
