Recovery activities stopped in rain-affected Agra villages

The Commissioner of Agra Division has stopped all recovery activities in the area devastated by hail storm and rain recently in the district.
"The recovery of all bank loan, revenue, power and others have immediately been stopped," Commissioner, Agra division, Pradeep Bhatnagar said after visiting areas of Raya block hit by hail storm and untimely rain recently and directed officials to conduct survey by visiting the affected area.
He earlier visited villages of Malhe, Saras, Madaim, Banse of Raya block and instructed officers to ensure that assessment of loss is done only after physically visiting the affected area.
"The farmers should be provided all possible assistance within the law," he said.
