Meanwhile, groundnut oil and linseed oil held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial continued to decline due to lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.
In futures, castorseeds dropped on selling pressure amid subdued export enquiries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 610 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 612 Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,185 per 10 kg.
In non-edible segment, Castorseed bold dropped by Rs 30 per 100 kg to Rs 3,260 from Rs 3,290 and castoroil commercial looked down by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 682 from Rs 688 previously. Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 730 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures, castorseed for the September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,440 and drifted further to close at Rs 3,368 as compared to Rs 3,466 previously, showing a fall of Rs 98 per tonne.
