At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month November edged higher Rs 1.25, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 570.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 51,260 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in October contracts traded higher by Rs 1.05, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 573.60 per 10 kg in 56,550 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices.
