Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Ajay Singh today termed the incident of alleged attack on a woman officer in Chhattarpur district as "shameful" for the ruling BJP government. In a statement issued in Bhopal, Ajay said employees and officials were afraid as the government failed to protect their honour and esteem. Despite Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's tall claims of good governance, the reality in the state is entirely different, he said. State Congress unit president Kantilal Bhuria also condemned the incident and alleged there was a "secret agreement" between the state government and sand mafia members which resulted in such incidents.
