Republican releases list of speakers for Cleveland convention

The Republican Party today released a partial list of speakers, including several family members of party's presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump, for next week's convention in Cleveland.
The list does not include two top Indian Americans Republican leaders- Bobby Jindal, the former presidential candidate and former Louisiana Governor, and Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Governor.
In addition to 70-year-old Trump himself, who would address the convention after accepting nomination, other members of his family listed as speakers are Tiffany Trump, Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Meliana Trump.
The list also includes several of his potential vice presidential running mate - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rtd Lt Gen Michael Flynn.

House of Representative Speaker Paul Ryan is leading the list of speakers from the Congress.
Others include Senators Tom Cotton, Joni Ernst, Jeff Sessions, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Ted Cruz, the former Republican presidential candidates.

Retired astronaut Eileen Collins, the first woman to command a space shuttle, and one-time football star Tim Tebow are also scheduled to speak.
Pay-Pal co-founder Peter Thiel and, real estate investor Tom Barrack and Las Vegas casino owner Phil Ruffin representing the tech and business communities are also listed as speakers.
"The convention's theme, 'Make America Great Again', will focus on the core themes of Republican Presidential Nominee Donald J Trump's campaign: national security, immigration, trade and jobs," a statement said.

Names of more speakers are likely to be announced in the coming days.
The four-day Cleveland Convention begins on July 18.
It is held every four year to nominate the party's presidential candidate for the November general elections.
