"The pilgrims would not be perform rituals like bathing the deity (Govardhan) with milk, curd, honey, bura, ghee and they would also miss 'Shrangar Darshan' (dressing the deity with rich costume and ornaments) from June one to June five," the temple manager, Radha Charan Kaushik said.
Daan Ghati temple is the most important temple of Goverdhan deity as majority of the pilgrims start their Restricted worshipping at Daan Ghati temple from June 1 to 5.
"The decision is uncalled for as several thousand pilgrims would be put to inconvenience as without Dugdhabhishek (bathing the deity with milk), most of the pilgrims consider circumambulation incomplete," he said.
