The Circle Officer of Dumka Bhorsingh Yadav caught the revenue department employee, Mahesh Gupta, while accepting Rs 10,000 bribe from a person in lieu of moving his land mutation related file, said Superintendent of Police, Vipul Shukla.
Shukla said Yadav had information that Gupta was reluctant to do any work unless his palms were greased and caught him red-handed while taking the bribe money.
An FIR has been registered against Gupta under Dumka Town police station following his arrest.
