Sachin was seated in his seat (number 103) and was seen interacting with social worker and fellow member Anu Aga, besides a few others.
He had come under criticism from his fellow members in the House of Elders last year when they had pointed to his long absence, along with that of actor Rekha.
Sachin, who turned 43 in April this year, was nominated to the Upper House in April 2012.
As per Article 104 of the constitution, if a member is absent from either House of Parliament for a period of 60 days then the seat is considered vacant.
