"The districts which have received less than 50 per cent rainfall are being identified to declare them as drought-hit and revenue realisation in these districts will be kept under suspension till March 31, 2015," Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said.
The chief secretary was holding a state-level meeting of natural calamity relief committee here.
He also asked the divisional commissioners and district magistrates to provide necessary reliefs to farmers at the district-level on a priority basis as per the plan worked out in view of the drought.
