Parfitt, 65, had an attack earlier this month while lying alone on his tour bus after a sellout concert in Austria. He woke an aide and was rushed to hospital.
He was flown back to the UK in a private jet for emergency surgery and suffered another heart attack on the operating table.
Parfitt said he does not want to take risks with his life anymore, reported Daily Express.
"I've made a pact with myself. That part of my life is over because I don't want to die. I was an inch away from dying. I remember the bus stopping at about 4.30am in the middle of nowhere.
The musician had a quadruple bypass in 1997, a throat cancer scare in 2005 and heart attack in 2011.
