"The policies of the BJP government are totally anti-farmer and the Central government has forcefully brought the land acquisition ordinance," RLD district president Manveer Singh, while addressing the party activists, said.
He said the ordinance will adversely affect crores of farmers in the country. Singh also handed over a memorandum to the District Magistrate addressed to the president of India on the issue.
"Everywhere the land was acquired for public purposes, later on wrongfully diverted to private builders," Singh charged, adding that the party workers will fight against the "draconian" land acquisition ordinance of the Central government.
