RLSP state President Arun Kumar led a party team to Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum in this regard.
The RLSP President later told reporters that the Nitish Kumar government through a letter from state HRD department ordered change of name of Muneshwar Singh Munshewari Samata College under Bhim Rao Ambedkar Muzaffarpur University.
The Samata College (rpt) College is named after father of Union minister of state for HRD Upendra Kushwaha as his family is its doner.
The RLSP Bihar President alleged that the name changing exercise was carried at the behest of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar against whom the party has been running a state-wide campaign.
The memorandum urged the Governor to annul the state government order to change the name of the college.
