The dacoits barged into the Belmax metal factory, in Malegaon MIDC about 27 kms from here, yesterday and attacked its two security guards with sharp weapons before decamping with Rs 20 lakh cash kept in a cupboard there, Sinnar police station in-charge Kishore Navale said.
Security guard Nivrutti Shivaji Satav, a resident of Wavi, died on the spot after the miscreants slit his throat, he said.
The other injured guard has been admitted to Nashik civil hospital.
