Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash, who was scheduled to start the recording of the statements of the accused today, posted it for March 7 as the questions to be asked from them were not ready.
During the hearing, accused Vinay Sharma, through his counsel A P Singh, moved a plea seeking the court's permission for appearing in an examination on March 9 for government job as a lower divisional clerk (LDC). The court has allowed his plea.
During the trial, the court had recorded the statements of 37 prosecution witnesses, including a carpenter, Ram Adhar, who was allegedly beaten up and robbed by the accused.
The accused are facing trial for allegedly beating up and robbing Ram Adhar before raping and assaulting a 23-year-old girl in a moving bus in south Delhi on December 16, 2012.
