A map of India under Patna
Masterplan not showing Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh as a part of the country today generated heat in Bihar before the Urban Development Department deleted it from its website.
Taking strong note of it, Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said the state government would take stringent action against those responsible for preparing the map as well as those who uploaded it on the Urban Development department website.
Meanwhile, the Urban Development department removed the map from its website.
Acknowledging the mistake, Urban Development Secretary B Rajender said the error happened as the map had been lifted from the Internet and added strict action would be taken against those responsible.
Slamming the state government for the map, Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ram Kripal Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Sushil Kumar Modi and state unit BJP President Mangal Pandey demanded strong action against those responsible for the goof-up.
