Rs 10 lakh worth ganja seized

Ten kg of ganja, worth about Rs 10 lakh in the international market, was seized by Customs and Excise officials today from Kambipadu coastal area near Dhanushkodi early this morning, police said.
The officials, acting on a tip off that some persons planning to smuggle the contraband to Sri Lanka, were on patrol when they spotted the ganja hidden behind some bushes, they said.
Nobody has been arrested so far in connection with the seizure, they said.
