Rs 12.72 lakh worth Iranian saffron seized at airport

: A total of 10.60 kg of Iranian saffron, valued at Rs 12.72 lakh, has been seized by customs officials from a passenger who arrived here from Dubai, airport officials said
The saffron was found concealed in 424 packets, each weighing 25 grams, in his baggage.
Mohammed Riyaz from Mogral Puttur in Kerala's Kasaragod district was arrested yesterday. He had arrived here from Dubai in the morning.
