"A case has been registered in connection with illegal withdrawal of Rs 25 lakh from Wani's fixed deposit account at the SBI Branch in Tallab Tiloo by some unidentified persons," a police officer said here today.
State Roads and Buildings Minister Wani's fixed deposit was to complete its maturity period by March 2014, but some unidentified persons withdrew it in February in league with some bank employees.
A team headed by Tallab Tilloo police post in-charge has been tasked to probe the case, the officer said.
