The cheque was given as per the order from the chief minister to pay the solatium from the relief given by the forest department for those killed by wild animals.
The cheque was given to Murthy, kin of the deceased, officials said.
Sellakannu of Anaikarai was killed by the crocodile when he had gone to bathe in the Kollidam river on July 3.
