A three-day meeting of the top functionaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) began here today at Neri in Hamirpur.
Nearly 80 top functionaries, including pracharaks of northern states, are taking part in the conclave, presided by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and are likely to discuss organisational issues, current national scenario, polity and economy.
The Jagdev Chand memorial history research institute at Neri, where the meeting is taking place has been kept out of bounds for media, and only those invited are allowed in.
Some senior leaders said that if there was anything worth reporting it would be informed to mediapersons.
Insiders said that during the meeting, a strategy would be finalised to extend the base of the organisation in the northern states especially Himachal Pradesh and to start a campaign for providing equality to all in the society.
This meeting has assumed significance in view of the demand of the RSS Chief, Mohan Bhagwat for a complete revision in the reservation policy in the country.
