RSS chief hails Modi for organising Yoga at large scale

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for organising the Yoga at a large scale.
The RSS chief, who is in the city to interact with office bearers of eastern UP region at five-day interaction session, praised Prime Minister Modi "for an impressive show" of Yoga in India and also in 177 countries on the first International Day of Yoga.
Bhagwat organised Yoga session with RSS office bearers at Nivedita Shiksha Sadan here in the morning.
RSS Sah Karyavah Duttatreya Hosbale was also present with Bhagwat.
Hosbale said,"It is a proud moment for India that 177 countries practised Yoga today. PM Modi during his last visit to the US had impressively presented the importance of Yoga before the world after which UN recognised it in its December summit and declared the observation of International day of Yoga on June 21."
He said that Yoga is one of the rich heritages of Indian culture and it is not just a physical exercise but it brings people together.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Kalaraj Mishra also held a Yoga session with a large number of people at Bharat Mata Mandir here.
Mishra said that practice of Yoga was famous as it cures many diseases and helps a people stay fit.
"But, PM Modi's efforts have made UN to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day and almost 177 countries are practising Yoga together," he said.
A large number of people including BJP workers today practised Yoga at Assi Ghat.
Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar's Art of Living members also held special Yoga session at the Assi Ghat.
The Banaras Hindu University organised a special camp for all its students and staff.
Many schools and colleges in the temple town constituency of Prime Minister Modi practised Yoga today.
