Senior IAS officer S K Srivastava, who is likely to be appointed as Delhi government's new Chief Secretary, has been relieved from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) for his parent Union Territory cadre.
Srivastava, a 1980-batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, was working as Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, MoHFW.
The repatriation of Srivastava to his parent cadre was approved by Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC), a press release issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.
Srivastava is likely to replace D M Spolia as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi government. Spolia, a 1979-batch IAS officer, was appointed Chief Secretary in December, 2012.
Senior IAS officer Jai Priye Prakash has been appointed as Additional Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat.
Prakash, a 1982-batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is presently Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The vacancy has necessitated following repatriation of S C Garg, a 1983-batch IAS officer, to his parent cadre Rajasthan.
