Four members of a Delhi family were killed and another injured in a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer in UP's Saharanpur, police said on Monday.
SSP Dinesh Kumar said Bhagwati Sharma (55), a resident of Delhi's Punjabi Bagh, was returning home along with his family members after attending a marriage party in Saharanpur when the accident took place around 11.30 pm on Sunday near Subhari and Bhatkheri villages in the Nagal police station area.
The deceased have been identified as Bhagwati Sharma, his wife Mamta Sharma (50), son Gaurav Sharma (28) and daughter-in-law Nidhi Sharma.
Bhagwati Sharma's younger son Prateek Sharma (25) was seriously injured.
The SSP said Prateek was admitted to a hospital for treatment while the bodies were sent for autopsy.
