The Delhi government's submission was made in response to the query by a bench of justices B D Ahmed and Jayant Nath as to what was the Centre's policy on Sainik Farms.
Delhi government senior standing counsel Rahul Mehra told the court that the central government has sent another set of questions which has nothing to do with the regularisation issue and the intention appears to be to keep the matter hanging.
The bench listed the matter for hearing on December 14, as it had not yet perused the high-resolution satellite images of Sainik Farms for the years of 2011, 2014 and 2015 that were submitted by the Delhi government on November 18.
The court had asked for the images to ascertain whether there have been unauthorised construction in the colony from 2007 onwards in violation of its order halting construction in the area.
It had asked for the images, saying it did not "trust" the corporation's affidavit on extent of unauthorised construction in the colony and had said that SDMC was "trying to cover up" and its report, submitted to the court, was "an eyewash".
