Sakhi Mandal scheme of J'khand a role model for country: Min

Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar today said Jharkhand government's 'Sakhi Mandal' scheme is a role model for the country.
He said the state's 'Yojana Banao Abhiayan', digging of ponds and strengthening of panchayat secretariat will also prove to be mile stones in its development.
Saying that other states should follow such schemes, Kumar said Jharkhand is the first state where the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) is being inaugurated, according to an official release.
The session will start in the next two months and 1,500 students will get vocational training, he said.
Kumar said this has been possible due to the Chief Minister's efforts as he wants to make Jharkhand the capital of plastic engineering and technology.

On the request of the state government, three more CIPETs in Deoghar, Jamshedpur and Palamau will be opened, he said.

The Union Minister said the Centre has approved Rs 6,000 crore for revival of the Sindri fertiliser factory in Jharkhand and one lakh metric tonne urea will be produced there.
Under the Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (generic medicine), Jharkhand will have 100 such centres, he said.
Kumar said the importance of plastic has grown and 10 lakh people are required in this sector, but only two lakh skilled people are there.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said it is an important day for the state as the unemployed youth will get skilled and become self-sustenance.

There is a shortage of skilled workers in the country, which has only 10 per cent skilled hands compared to South Korea (96 per cent), Japan (80 per cent), Germany (75 per cent) and England (86 per cent), the release said.
Stating that 80 industrial units are working in the plastic sector, Das said the CIPET trained students can assist in those units as well as in other sectors.
A plastic park is being built on 169 acres of land at Devipur in Deoghar, Das said.
