Salzer Q2 net up 44% to Rs 4.6 cr

Electrical solutions provider Salzer Electronics Ltd today reported a 44 per cent increase in net profit for the second quarter at Rs 4.6 crore.
It had registered a net profit of Rs 3.2 crore in the second quarter of last fiscal, the company said in a release here.
Revenue from operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2015, was Rs.80.9 crore, as against Rs.67.8 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, showing a year-on-year growth of 19 per cent.
Exports contributed to 23 per cent of revenues, the release said.
The company reported an earnings per share of Rs 7.16 in first half of 2015-16, as compared to Rs 6.23 in the corresponding period of last fiscal, showing an increase of 15.5 per cent year-on-year.
