Sangeeta started on a promising note by pocketing the first two frames before Randhe fought back to win the next two to draw level (2-all).
Once again, Sangeeta found her touch to win the fifth and put herself within distance of finishing off the match.
But her rival Randhe clawed his way back and with steady play managed to take the last two frames to snatch a hard-earned 21-30, 13-34, 30-15, 44-30, 20-42, 48-12, 54-29 victory and a place in the second round.
