Actor Sanjay Suri says he would love to turn director and wishes to associate himself with entertaining and inspiring stories.
The 44-year-old actor, who produced movie "I Am" under the banner of Anticlock Films with director Onir, now wants go behind the lens.
"I want to produce all good stories. I would like to direct some day. I don't have any specific ideas. I enjoy being associated with meaningful films. I want to make films that are entertaining, inspiring and engaging," Sanjay told PTI in an interview here.
The actor made his Bollywood debut with Dino Morea and Rinkie Khanna starrer "Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi" and went on to star in commercial films like "Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya" featuring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, Sujoy Ghosh's "Jhankar Beats" and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer film "Heroine" among others.
The "My Brother...Nikhil" actor feels fortunate to be working in both commercial and independent films.
"I don't get exciting mainstream commercial film offers. I am not that kind of a person who would just wait for the right offer to come my way. I am here to be part of interesting stories either as an actor or as a producer," he said.
"I feel fortunate to be here where mainstream and independent films co-exist in the industry," he said.
Sanjay is excited about his next release "Chauranga", which is produced by him and Onir. The film will mark the debut of writer-director Bikas Ranjan Mishra. It is set to release on January 8.
"My other film is a psychological drama thriller. It is a genre not explored here. I am excited about it. Another is 'Shab'," he added.
