Judge (Incharge) Somaraju permitted Sasikala and other accused V Sudhakaran and Ilavarasi to inspect the documents mentioned in the Interlocutory Application in the presence of the Assistant Registrar.

Their counsel had placed the certified copy of last month's Supreme Court order permitting Sasikala to inspect certain documents submitted to the court by the prosecution and filed memos seeking permission to do so as per the apex court's order.

Rejecting the plea by Sasikala's counsel C Manishankhar, seeking 21 days time excluding government holidays, the court sought to go by the Supreme Court order and granted 21 days time from today to Sasikala to peruse the documents and posted the case to October 30 for further recording of her statement under section 313 of the CrPC.

The case filed during the DMK rule relates to alleged accumulation of about Rs 66 crore worth assets disproportionate to Jayalalithaa's known sources of income during 1991-96 when she was the chief minister.

It was transferred to Bangalore by the Supreme Court on a petition by DMK.
