Scams, corruption things of past now: Ravi Shankar Prasad

) Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today said the Modi government is free of scandals and corruption and is committed to providing good governance.
Launching the Digital India programme at a function here this evening, the Minister for Communications and Information Technology said scandals such as spectrum scam, coal scam, etc, are now a things of the past.
The NDA government has got rid of middlemen by linking Aadhar with bank accounts and direct depositing of subsidies, he said.
Digitisation had saved as much as Rs 36,000 crore, he claimed.
The state-run telecom behemoth BSNL was losing money during the UPA regime but now it was making profit, he claimed.
