Scan machines worth Rs 18 lakh seized

: Scan machines worth Rs 18 lakh have been seized from two unregistered scan centres at Attur in a raid by health department officials, officials said.
The machines were handed over to a magistrate, kept in a centre and sealed, they said.
The two centres did not have any records of the scans done, they said, adding both of them have been sealed.
Cases have been registered against the centres under sections of the PreNatal Diogonostic Techniques Act.
