SCR to hold slew of progs to mark golden jubilee celebrations

South Central Railway (SCR) Zone will organise week-long programmes and various activities starting from October 2 to mark its golden jubilee celebrations.
"We shall be completing 50 years of our existence. SCR has planned Golden Jubilee Celebrations which will start with Golden Jubilee Run at Necklace Road here on October 2," SCR General Manager Ravindra Gupta told reporters.
Commemorating the journey, Gupta unveiled a special "Golden Jubilee Logo" at Rail Nilayam here today.
On October 4, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is likely to attend an event here being organised as part of the celebrations, he said.
A special "Commemorative Postal Cover" will be released in association with the Department of Posts to signify the milestone attained, he said, adding that a 'Coffee Table Book' will be released focusing on the past and the present times of SCR.
