SDMC revises time-frame for building plan sanction to 15 days

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation has revised the time-frame for online sanctioning of residential building plans to 15 days.
South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya today said a Common Application Form (CAF) with facility of applying for sanction of building plans and simultaneous application for obtaining requisite no-objection certificate (NOC)/clearance from the department has been devised, which can be viewed on the website www.Mcdonline.Gov.In.
"In 2011 we started online approval of building plans and became the first corporation in the country to start such a programme. Today more than 90 per cent of building plans are sanctioned online and within time limit of one month.

"Now on the initiative taken by our Prime Minister for ease of doing business, the corporation has further revised the time-frame for sanction to 15 days," he said.
This time-frame refers to plans in respect of residential building for fresh construction in which no NOC is required, the SDMC said.
For industrial plots (fresh construction) it will be 30 days subject to NOCs from department concerned. For commercial buildings and warehouses, 60 days, subject to NOCs, it said.
The three corporations North, East and South have devised this module under a Single Window Clearance System (SWCS) for online sanction of building plans and completion/occupancy certificate.

The Mayor further said that a joint inspection for expeditious approval of building plans will be conducted by officers of all departments (depending upon requirement of the case) and general public can also register their grievances/ problems/suggestions on the said website for necessary consideration regarding any modification in the respective module.
