The conversion charges are applicable in respect of residential and industrial buildings which are being used for commercial purposes. The charges are payable as per the provisions of Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) 2021, the SDMC said.
The sealing was carried out by the building department of West Zone.
"It was earlier noted that a number of large properties in West Zone are either not paying conversion charges or paying less than the covered area of their properties. Despite issuance of show-cause notices, the property owners were not depositing required dues," it said in a statement.
The drive will continue in respect of properties who have still not deposited the conversion or misuse charges, it added.
