A search operation was launched near the Line of Control (LoC) today over reported suspicious movement in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said.

The security personnel launched a search operation in a village close to LoC in the Nowshera sector based on reports of suspected movement, they said.

The operation was on when reports last came in, they said.

Earlier, the Army had foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC in this sector yesterday in which one jawan was injured, according to officials.
