Two Pakistani prisoners Mohmmad Saleem, who hails from Faisalabad and Masood Akhtar, a resident of Sahiwal in Pakistan, lodged in Ambala central jail are life convicts.
According to sources, both the inmates were shifted to security cell of the jail last evening.
Security guards have been deployed outside their cell round the clock. They are not allowed to meet the other inmates for security reasons.
A case was registered against Saleem in Baldevnagar Police station here in 2002 while Masood was booked by Ambala Sadar police station in 2003.
After the death of Sarabjit following a murderous attack on him in a Lahore jail last week, the Union Government has directed the jail authorities to tighten the security of Pakistani inmates, the sources said.
Meanwhile, All India Anti Terrorist Front burnt the effigy of Pakistan's President and raised slogans against the Pakistan government.
