Security forces recover powerful can-bomb

Security forces today recovered a powerful can-bomb from Saranda forest in naxal-affected West Singhbhum district, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the security personnel comprised of CRPF and district armed police force launched a massive search operation in a village near Karampada and spotted the can-bomb planted underneath a kuch road, said Superintendent of Police, Michael Raj S.
SP said the explosive, weighed 30 kgs, was planted to target the security personnel.
Later, a bomb disposal squad arrived on the spot and defused the can-bomb, he added.
