The security guard of a cash replenishment van sustained a bullet injury after he accidentally shot himself at southeast Delhi's Kalkaji area today.
The incident was reported in the afternoon when the cash van stopped near an ATM kiosk which was to be refilled. The guard's foot slipped while he was alighting the vehicle and he accidentally fired a shot from his single barell gun, said police.
He was rushed to a hospital and later discharged after a minor surgery. The bullet grazed part of his thigh, said a police official.
The police have yet not registered any case in this regard, the official added.
