Select copra gains on sustained demand; pepper, ginger recover

Copra edible, copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices gained further at the spices market here today due to sustained stockists and millers demand as well as higher export offtake.
Elsewhere, black pepper and ginger recovered on renewed retail demand.
Copra edible prices climbed up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,600 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 8,500.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode also looked up by Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 7,550 and Rs 7,450 from Rs 7,500 and Rs 7,400, respectively.
Black pepper moved up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 541/591 as against Rs 531/581.

Ginger bleached and unbleached moved up by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 200 and Rs 210 from Rs 195 and Rs 205.
