Select copra spikes on good demand, low arrivals

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices rose sharply in an otherwise steady spices market here today on strong demand from exporters and millers against lower arrivals from key producing regions.
Meanwhile, there was no trading in copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai due to closure of markets.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both climbed by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,600 and Rs 8,500 from its overnight closing level of Rs 8,500 and 8,400, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (530/575), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,600 (8,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,500 (8,400), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) closed (9,800), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) closed (9,150).
