Senior journalist dies

Mohanti was 73 and is survived three sons.

The founder of Bankura district press club, Mohanti was suffering from lung cancer and was undergoing treatment at home.

He was a school teacher and brought out "Bankura Barta, a popular and widely circulated fortnightly Bengali newspaper in Bankura district.
