Shiv Sena today slammed the separatists for disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in Kashmir valley by raising Pakistani flags and chanting pro-Pakistan slogans and demanded the state government to take measures to maintain peace.
"We condemn the separatists and anti-national forces for raising Pakistan flags and chanting pro-Pakistan slogans on the Indian soil," Coordinator, Shiv Sena (Balasaheb Thackeray) for UP and J&K States, Vinay Shukla told reporters here today.
Criticising them for disturbing peaceful atmosphere of Kashmir, he said, "the State government should take measures to ensure peace at all cost."
Shukla also criticised the way Pratham Poojan at Amarnath temple were performed by the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board.
He said the Poojan, which was symbolic, was not done as per Hindu traditions otherwise it should have been performed in the holy cave of Amarnath.
"This Jeysth Pooja is only being performed under the pressure of Shiv Sena. These are lame excuses that Pratham Poojan was not feasible due to unfavourable weather conditions," he said.
Shukla also said previous unit of Shiv Sena in J-K has been dissolved and all the office bearers removed. They were no longer associated with the party any more, he added.
He further announced that Dimpy Kohli would be the party's new President of J&K and Rakesh Gupta the Chairman.
He said Shiv Sena was going to play a very significant political role in the coming years in J&K State and contest on all seats in the coming Jammu Municipal Corporation elections.
