The separatist camp issued a fresh calendar of protests for the upcoming week, including a call for a march to UN Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) office on October 13.
The separatist camp, comprising both factions of Hurriyat Conference headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq respectively and JKLF led by Mohammad Yasin Malik, has announced a 13-hour relaxation in the strike from 5 PM onwards on October 8, 12 and 13.
Many street and hand-cart vendors set up their stalls at various places in the city today, selling commodities like fruits, vegetables, fresh juice, tea and snacks, officials said.
After the authorities lifted curfew across the Valley a few days ago, there has been a significant increase in the movement of private and public transport, except buses, in uptown Srinagar, including in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk, they said.
83 persons, including two cops, have been killed and thousands others injured in clashes between protestors and security forces after the Killing of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
